First off just want to honour the women of Earth and Mother Earth, thank you💚🌿 (hälts mural ‘creator’ there’s a paradise in my mind and the cosmos in my hand)
The road less travelled opens one to possiblilities that can be fruitful. However there is also a chance for chaos, uncertainty and doubt. Knowing this be mindful that there have been ones before, mavericks, rogues, lone wolves…learn about them, read about them, watch documentaries if that’s useful to you. Keep in mind though that no one’s path is the same path, it is a complex weave and you are one strand in that weave. This metaphor is useful to visualize, how do you want to weave your thread, how do want to add to the pattern, or what pattern are you going to follow, there is no right question, no right answer, there is only you on that path. Trust you can do it, be discerning of advice, that’s wisdom, you’ll get it, educate yourself, and remember life’s problems are not so much problems as they are experience, they teach us things that we can learn from, sometimes they repeat themselves, and can be unpleasant, you’ll get through it, and hopefully so will this weirdo, hälts💚🌿📿☕️

A few splices form hälts latest forrays into the creative unknown.

hälts minimotion ‘So’ with soundscape ‘sun kissed moon’ featuring hälts ‘in it’, a tiny animation, somewhat still water with water droplets kissed by the sun, you are a water droplet, make waves, okay good talk brah.

‘sun kissed moon’ hälts continues a long tradition of painting on cardboard and honouring Mother Earth while doing so, because let’s face it we throw a lot of shit away.

‘loser baby’ hälts hybrid and a play on Becks ‘loser’ yeah, sometimes it’s like that so why don’t you kill me⚡️

Mahaloness is an art blog documenting the inner spirit and artist journey of Shane Haltman, also referred to as 'hälts'. He lives, breathes and makes art in Canada. Hälts often travels to remote and exotic locations to produce community spirit murals and paintings using available materials. He is unconventional in his approach to art and chooses unique projects and sometimes they choose him. He is known for guerrilla lawn art shows, painting helmet art for a Canadian Olympic Athlete, and once painted a magic bus out of this world. Mostly he is human as anyone else, however very driven and disciplined with respect to his artistic practice. He has experience working with the bereaved and helping people who are experiencing, or who have experienced trauma in their lives. He also enjoys working with the youth and passing on his wisdom, usually in the form of art jams. Hälts is a full spectrum artist, living and breathing art, as a daily practice, in this mixed up beautiful world.
