A Surfer’s Journal

When Lady Pacifica calls I go, and when I return I am compelled to channel my experience into a painting, or some kind of creative exploration. Each cycle, each journey is a time to recharge, to reconnect with the rhythm of Planet Earth, far away from the congested cities and competitive frequencies. The ocean is so immense, so powerful, so lively, and unpredictable. When you get lost in thoughts the ocean will remind you that you are not alone. It penetrates your being, thouroughly saturating it to it’s core, a true mystic she whispers in your ear that you are a part of her and to not be afraid. The water bubbles, invigorating your molecules as you swish and drift to her ebbs and flows. Thank you Ocean, Lady Pacifica, Earth Mother and all.

In the works…

Ho’okipa, one of my favorite places on Earth gifted me this ’speechless moment’, I simply dissolved into the landscape.

spirit paint

They are some who think paint has the power to dissovle the veil, and magically we can cross over to the other side. Unfortunately the ones who worked with this miraculous paint lived thousands of years ago, so I set out to make a ‘veil dissolver’ paint, although instead of mixing it with saliva like my ancient counterparts, I went with a modern version, acrylic polymer.

It all began with a log, which I later I burned and collected the ash and burnt chunks, ground those down, than I ground the quartz with a stone and added the mix to my polymer. I have yet to name the paint, unofficially I will call it spirit paint. A spark in my brain led to this development, perhaps this information was embedded deep within my consciousness, and simply by thinking about it I somehow chanelled ancient wisdom, and voila there it was, my first spirit paint. This is an ongoing social, cultural, anthropological, enthnographical, anthropological and psychological experiment.  Modern cave art….
