road workers (a Southern journey cont.)

Its easy to go on the road
more times than not there is a road to go down
endless road
roads lead to more roads
and those roads expanding into more roads
taking you tip to tip
dips and doddles
ups and downs
mimicking the terrain
and sometimes tearing through
thanks to road workers
worldwide
this Southern journey included.

minimally produced

For many years I have been painting wearable art for patrons who want something that is unique to them. The medium I use adds flexibility to the paint and once heat set lasts as long as any silk screen or digital print. This is what I would call a micro art business as I only make a run of one. So far I probably have around 200 hälts art wearables circulating the globe, ‘minimal produced’ seems fitting.

Mahaloness started out as a way for me to share my art and explorations with those of you sharing space on this wondrous planet. I can honestly say the journey has been a good one, with a little bit of everything along the way. In the last couple of months I have been sharing moments from a trip to Mexico, ‘a Southern journey’, as I have called it. The purpose of my trip was to meet with friends, go surfing, and absorb as much of Mexico as humanly possible. This demanded my full attention and awareness and an complete openness to adventure. The trip opened my mind to a world I could not have imagined, and I like to think my imagination is not so bad, so perhaps ‘mind blown’ would better sum up the experience. The energy there is strong, it is omnipresent, deep, in fact the farther south I journeyed the more steeped I became. Since my return I have been letting it permeate through my consciousness, and when time permits posting new segments of that experience with you. So without further adieu I just want to say thank you, super gracias, and I look forward to more posts here on Mahaloness, for now here is a special foto segment from ‘a Southern journey’.

4 Nobles

1. Life is suffering

2. the cause of suffering is our grasping and fixation

3. suffering ends when we let go of attachment to the ego

4. there is a path that leads to the cessation of suffering

A bear in the forest once taught me the true meaning of fear and for a brief moment all suffering ceased.
