without fear

…ok for a moment I would like to go back in spacetime….the scene below is at face value simply a foto taken from an airplane, however it is much more than this for you see It reminds me of a time I was somewhere off the coast of western Australia ripping along on the open ocean on a windsurfer, the water scales of gold windswept skin over giant rolling swell, it is a memory that will never leave me, the water has taught me so much!
IMG_4875.PNG…I have landed in an unfamiliar place and following a green light and a fast cabby I find myself hanging out in a bus station with a few hours to climatize before departure on the next leg of my southward journey. I am tired yet excited. I go for a walk to the local OxxO to pick up a few items and snap a couple shots along the way from a bridge. I find rhythm with my environment this way. Experience has shown me a place always reveals itself on it’s own time. Here I am one little bird amongst many, I am one human amongst so many, I am here to see and experience this place openly and go with it’s rhythm without fear.

I am an artist who explores this world with verve. You can find more of my art here

Mahaloness is an art blog documenting the inner spirit and artist journey of Shane Haltman, also referred to as 'hälts'. He lives, breathes and makes art in Canada. Hälts often travels to remote and exotic locations to produce community spirit murals and paintings using available materials. He is unconventional in his approach to art and chooses unique projects and sometimes they choose him. He is known for guerrilla lawn art shows, painting helmet art for a Canadian Olympic Athlete, and once painted a magic bus out of this world. Mostly he is human as anyone else, however very driven and disciplined with respect to his artistic practice. He has experience working with the bereaved and helping people who are experiencing, or who have experienced trauma in their lives. He also enjoys working with the youth and passing on his wisdom, usually in the form of art jams. Hälts is a full spectrum artist, living and breathing art, as a daily practice, in this mixed up beautiful world.
