How’s my blogging?

I may not drive a car but I do blog, so with this in mind please remind yourself I am a visual artist, writing and blogging are new to me, relatively new that is, I am no Hemmingway, or HST, but I am dedicated, and in some ways a man possessed, which has its own inherent challenges…what I am trying to convey is that this blog is superfluous, although there are some gems in there, unfortunately for me writing doesn’t always flow like paint does. I also would like to note that I wholeheartedly do not want to explain my paintings, this has nothing to do with you, the reader, it is something I am working on, day to day. To confuse you even more, l am able to explain the work, it does come from somewhere, but if I told you, you probably wouldn’t believe me unless that is if I was doing a live talk and you and I were there, which is clearly not the case because you are there and I am here. This is okay, I will continue to post, for those onboard, thank you, for those new to the scene, welcome, and please forgive me for my ineptitude with words, I think I might be dyslexic, and that’s oaky. I am the author of Mahaloness, and I am okay with that. Being that this is a fairly linked community, and that interconnectedness is the real deal, I Mahaloness will do my best to post the most Mahaloness I can, meaning I will promote positive vibrations and inspire to be inspired and continue on this path, maintaining the good work, and giving thanks to all those who help me be here, and to extend that back accordingly and in gratitude. We live in an interesting times, so much going on, and for what it’s worth, I am happy to be here, part of it, and hopefully by doing what I consider the good work, which is sharing my art and experience, that it benefits your time as well as mine. To all the good folks doing the good work, whether it is Alex or Allyson Grey, Autumn Skye, Aude Ray, Adham Shaikh, Blue Lunar Monkey, Beatfarmer, Jake, Jim, Mike, Molly, Nicole, Anna, Francisco Goya, Willy Nelson, Oprah, Ram Das, Laura, Tara, Michelle, Romio Shrestha, the Dalia Lama, MCA, Shane, Halla Halla, Hana Kyle, Tyler HVW8, Austin at eyecollector.com, Caroline Weaver, Riley Tease, Carl White, it goes on and on and on, keep up the good work, it is essential you do, vital, and is beautiful in every which way. It is easy to get caught up in the unpleasantness that life can bring, it is human, it is also beautiful to be human, here and now and with all of you, Mahaloness.

Hi my name is hälts, I am a Canadian artist, geographer, film worker and mostly a human being. I did not grow up thinking I wanted to be an artist, things just kind of fell into place. Art is a special gift humans have developed since inception. Mother Earth is the greatest artist, and who keeps me humble on my path. I mostly paint, and use acrylic with an assortment of brushes and touches, and sometimes watercolour. I am also well rounded with airbrush skills, spray paint, digital art and production, filmmaking, photography and drawing. I make fine art work, small paintings, big paintings, murals, wearable art, functioning art, and art for healing. I go wherever calls. I inspire while also being inspired by this planet, and my fellow beings. Life is a gift, and that's how I treat it. If that's not enough for you, then perhaps someone else can fill your expectation. I have no one to impress, I don't do this to be cool, and I care about this planet as much as Greta Thunberg, thank you very much, and all the life it sustains. I am not pro this person or that person, politically agnostic, I am spiritual, I am happy, I am sad, I am love, I am fear, I am joy, I am sorrow, I am all that humans are. I don't care about celebrities endorsements, and reminder there are many folk out there doing their part for Mother Earth, in their own way long before the current movement, upheaval does not create forever change, it goes in cycles, it always has and it always will, just sit in front the ocean and see it for yourselves. Most of all I just am. Thank you kindly, hälts

  1. I think your writing flows quite nicely actually and I love your art work too – To be honest I too have had shaky feelings about my writing because it seems so pointless to me, to write and no-one to see it, but then I write far to much all the time, however I just think its there and thats that, people will like it our hate it, but there will always be one person that will get something from it and one is better then none!

    • Thank you for the feedback, I have been criticized sometimes for long entries, when the spark goes I write and usually no looking back, I press publish and it’s out there, and sometimes multiple times a day, haha, and I still manage to find the time to make my art. If It reches one person that is good enough for me. I am on Maui which is one of the most isolated places on Earth, so it’s easy to think that the rest of the world is passing me by, than I get a comment, such as yours and I reminded that the extra time I make to write is appreciated by someone other than myself, Mahaloness to you and keep up the goodness.

      • Me too, I understand! Even the whole isolation path, I too chose a path one of which is alone and sometimes wonder why, but it has to be there is always a reason and as long as you know you are in the right place then nothing else matters and you just ride the feeling until at once inspiration finds you, and some form of happiness returns, for now the world will come to you via wordpress and thats something at least!

Namaste to you and have a glorious day
